Need anniversary help (today)

I'm looking for someplace for a celebratory bite--probably dessert only--after I pick himself up from the gym in Lakeview.

Any suggestions--I had thought of Bittersweet, but they're closed on Mondays. Don't like Selmarie much.

I'm no dessert maven or anything but the few things I've tried at Julius Meinl were quite good (eclairs and chocolate banana torte).

It's also a nice space when not being overrun by the local clientele.

They're open until 10 p.m Monday through Thursday.

I second Meinl. Not a big fan of Bittersweet. Southport grocery has great cupcakes. Bombbon Americano if you wanted to drive a bit to old town. Hot Chocolate in Bucktown.

I was going to suggest Hot Chocolate - an excellent place, but closed Mondays.
