I've been meaning to post on the fun filled event
Purple Asparagus held this past summer at Volo and, since the temperature is hovering at a balmy -5 degrees, today seemed the perfect opportunity.
Volo has a lovely backyard garden perfect for the
Restaurants are for Everybody event.
Chef Stephen Dunne, went all out, duck w/maque choux, chicken thighs wrapped in caul fat and lightly smoked piggy on a stick, to name just a few of the offerings.

In addition to terrific food there were fun activities for the kids
Adult beverages for the adults
And, as if that wasn't enough, corn ice cream and zucchini cupcakes.
Mmmmmmmm, Cupcakes!!
Both kids and adults had a very nice time.
Thanks go to Chef/Partner Stephen Dunne, Volo's staff.
Managing Partner Jon Young, who also owns Kitsch'n.
Jon Young with his mother and two children.
And many thanks to Erik, aka
SushiGaijin.
Happy smiles as people left speak volumes.
Next
Restaurants are for Everybody event will be the second Saturday in March at
