With the size of some of the portions around Chicago, who needs to go to a buffet ... except that you DO get to try a lot of different foods.
Todai at Woodfield Mall is one that I would add. Not the greatest food but most of the food is pretty acceptable.
Actually, although I don't eat there very often, I have been fairly impressed with SOME of the Old Country Buffet locations. Even though some of their food is garbage, they do a great job with their vegetables, salad bar and some of their entrees. And it is one of the few places where you can get a salad and three different vegetables with your meal. The Crystal Lake location is very acceptable but the Carpentersville location serves some of the worst garbage.
Many restaurants serve a Sunday buffet and many of thwm are pretty darned good. Most of my suggestions are toward the Northwest suburbs.
