Greetings All - I am absolutely compelled - as I had theeee most amazing dinner last night with my friends!
We can't get over how fantastic this place is! Beautiful Escargot & Chantrelle mushrooms - a flawless Greek
salad - then baked Halibut with Pumpkin Nocchi - all paired perfectly with Segalis (Greek white wine) -

    A word... try "amazing"

Kudos to you Nia (not to mention hostess, you're also a GREAT bartender) - bringing boutique dining back to Chicago -
I love small plates - absolutely luscious - Sangria too - loved the white!!!! Right on! What a great room - I couldn't decide if I
was in Tribeca or Barcelona... Then I remembered I was a ten dollar cab ride from the Wicker - Nice!

Thank you again for a lovely evening & making room for us even though we didn't have a reservation - we'll be back for more -
cool music too! Happy Holidays! Ciao Bella! :D

Haven't tried it yet, but I do find Nia and the others in the family enchanting; they own the invaluable Jubilee Juice around the corner. The kitchen is a virtual transplant from the now defunct Haro, hopefully with upgraded bread. Still sad that Starfish across the street is no more.

I know the family as well and they have been around Randolph Street since way before it was trendy. I keep hearing great things about this from Staci (the other daughter) so maybe this will finally push me into going out of my usual dinner comfort zone to get down there. She told me that a few Saturday nights back it was so busy that she couldn't get in.

Guess I can chime in here too. This is my first post, even though Gary from LTH has been trying to get me on the site here for over a year now. I have ate here quite a number of times and have been most blown away by the food. Quite a regular of the Randolph St. District and have found this place to be the most welcome surprise. Very quaint inside, way more then any other place on the block and the food has surprised me so much. Especially since the chef changes up the specials weekly and is very adventurous.

I love ceviche and that was one of the reasons I kept coming back, with chunks of grouper, scallops and shrimp topped with caviar and in the interim have tried many of the other dishes. I really enjoyed the duck confit, the pumpkin gnocchi, grilled octopus salad, suckling lamb and the chicken brochette.

I am always surpised how the fish specials are always cooked to perfection and are very fresh, which is nice they have up to 6 new ones every week on the menu. What a treat! I never get tired of whats available.

I have ate at Wabi and Avec a few times a week for years now, because I always eat late so its so nice to see that their kitchen is open till 11 on weekdays. This place has stolen the others business since I started coming here in the fall. If your looking for something new and want to stay away from the noise / seen and be seen crowds. This might be your best option for the whole neighborhood. Its truly a hidden gem.

Anyone been here lately? Looking for a 50th birthday dinner for a group of 10-12 or so. Thanks.
