Has anyone been to the Abbey Pub since they filmed the Bar Rescue episode there? I'm curious what's changed about the menu and what kind of a makeover they did. It's a great place to see a show. I can't wait to go back and check it out.

I know from spending about 8 hours there yesterday (6 PM soundcheck for our performance that didn't start until after midnight) that in the pub section the bartenders are lovely and/or Irish, that the draft list isn't great and mostly at $6 a pint, that they are not practiced at mixed drinks, and that the signature pub burger features an overcooked egg, undercooked bacon, and pre-formed patty that still somehow taste pretty good together with well-cooked industrial fries. Several orders of fish and chips were reported "not bad." Whatever is lacking in the produce is more than overcompensated by the atmo on that venerable corner.
