Are you looking specifically for Sevierville or do you want some Gatlinburg recs? I can give you some Gatlinburg recs if you want them. We stayed in one of those house rentals on top of the mountains just outside the national park, and though we spent most of the week grilling on the deck, we did venture down to Gatlinburg a few times. Also, I can rec a really good neighborhood bar, off the crazy strip.
I hate kettle cooked chips. It takes too much effort to crunch through them.

Just came back from a week in east Tennessee. Absolutely beautiful country.

Visited Knoxville while we there and went to a rib joint named Calhouns. While I am not usually a rib person, since they are known for their ribs I thought I'd give it a try. Glad I did as I thoroughly enjoyed them. The meat just fell off the bone and their homemade sauce was quite yummy (they sell it at the front of the restaurant). Desserts were also spectacular. My husband and I shared the key lime pie (tart, the way Iike it) and my son loved the tiramisu cheesecake.

Looks like they have locations in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
