I wanted to add another couple recs for this general area, one being Mimi's Hummus. Small Israeli
spot serving delicious hummus. I went there for lunch on saturday and had shakshuka margez, which is
eggs in a tomato stew with lamb sausage....very good.
A little more fort greene, I went to Der Schwarze Kölner, a beer garden (more like hall) on fulton. they
have a small selection of sausages served on great rolls that have just the slightest crunch. also-a great
selection of german beers. i still cannot believe how trendy that strip has become. afterwards, my walk to
bed-stuy reassured me that some parts of ny remain the same.
I also hit up the golden krust by the newkirk station....jerk chicken patty and plantains, delicious.
