Because I couldn't help wondering how cappuccino-like a potato chip could be. In this case, not very. Mostly just a mild cinnamon flavor. "Inoffensive" I guess is the default word, except of course for those who are offended by "cappuccino" potato chips that pretty much aren't. On the other hand, if you ate a whole 2 7/8 oz (81.5g) bag you'd only have consumed 115mg sodium, so considering you'd also get 960mg potassium and 4g dietary fiber makes this almost a health food. And no caffeine!

They (Lay's) are also doing test runs of "bacon mac & cheese" and "mango salsa" chips which I didn't bother trying because we can all figure out approximately what those taste like.

I saw these and as a potato chip lover could not bring myself to try them. Thanks for taking one for the team and reporting back.

I'm guessing a mild cinnamon flavor.

I could not get myself to pay money for chips that sounded terrible. Thanks for reporting back. Cinnamon might not be so bad. I recently tried Stacy's pita chips with cinnamon and sugar and those were actually pretty good. I have tried the mango salsa. It's actually surprisingly heavy on the mango. I liked them although i think they would have been better with some habanero added to it to balance out the slight sweetness.

I've tried two of the other three, not being a fan of cappucino in my salty snacks or otherwise, and mango salsa being of low interest.

The Bacon Mac and Cheese were somewhat smoky, more Bac-Os than bacon, and less cheesy than, say, the sour cream cheddar ones.

The Wasabi Ginger Kettle Chips are the only ones I'd buy again: not a lot of ginger or wasabi (I'd like them both amped up), a little sweet and salty, they work pretty good on the crunchier kettle-style chips.

I have been looking for the Wasbi chips-where did you find them?

Caputos (Naperville) had a bunch. So did my local Jewel.

The Ginger Wasabi ones are actually pretty good. I've purchased them multiple times.

    Cappuccino ones were bad, IMO.
The bacon mac/Cheese ones were very, very salty - but my kids loved them.
Nobody liked the Mango salsa flavor. Strange flavor combination.

I could not bring myself to try these. They don't sound appetizing. I like things to be pure ... potato chips should taste like potato chips and cappuccino should just be cappuccino.
