Hi- I just ran across this old post about couponing. Several people said that they bought extra copies of the Sunday paper, so they could get the coupons. I never buy the Sunday paper, but I find lots of coupons. One good place to find lots of Sunday coupons is a busy coffee shop. The Unicorn Cafe in downtown Evanston, has lots of Sunday papers that customers read, and then leave there. I always find lots of coupons that way. Even if you purchase coffee the price of the coffee is less than the price of a Sunday Trib.
I also used to volunteer at the North Park Village center at Pulaski, just South of Peterson. It is run by the Resource Center. This is also a great place to find lots of coupons. If you go there looking for coupons though, PLEASE leave the newspaper bin cleaner than how you found it. We had some people into couponing and refunding that would never bring anything to recycle, but they would come only to look for coupons and proofs of purchase, and wold make a mess of everything. There was one couple that used to show up there, and they were finally asked to leave, and never come back. Apparently the husband would go up to a vehicle where the trunk was open, and help himself to some of the bags of recycling, hoping to find some things he could use. Hope this helps, Nancy
