Today I saw a cuisinart ceramic peeler and paring knife combination at Kohl's for $15 - 1/2 off.

I went in to Harbor Freight Tools today to get a solar regulator - they have three different sizes of ceramic knives for under $12, but knowing some of the quality they have, I would be hesitant.

    There's a coupon that brings one at HF down to $10. http://www.harborfreight.com/extra-savi ... ource=1003

I have a Kyocera 5 1/2" santoku and 3" parer that I'm happy with so far.

To be honest, a Kyocera is so far better than a knockoff.
I bought two of the cheap knives from HF. My opinion is that when doing a straight cut it is decent. If ANY stress is applied it breaks.
Kyocera has a very good documentary done on the ceramic knives, I wish I could provide a link. Quality vs. a son who stole the company from his father (HF). To be honest, I do buy many tools from HF, I just do not like what the son did. Neither do the two check out clerks that I deal with locally.

The latest harbor freight tools email has the 3" ceramic paring knife for $5 with the coupon. Limit 7.

The Northern Tool price has risen, but still cheap. On sale right now the $6 3inch knife.
    Very good for the price.
