Anyone keep a Dining Journal?

To keep track of their dining experiences? I've heard some people keep some pretty extensive personal journals/diaries (offline and online) of where and what they eat and I wanted to see if anyone hear does something similar.

My sentiments exactly. Anything I'm interested in recording my notes about is done here. I've got a full record of it all, plus other people's reactions.

I was going to keep a journal, then decided I wanted to add photos, and finally figured I might as well make a blog of it. After a year and a half, I'd keep it up even if I were the only one who ever laid eyes on it. I find myself referring back to it all the time to refresh my memory. I first visited Faidley's last January, then returned a couple of weeks ago. On this most recent visit, I thought to myself that I didn't remember the crabcakes being that good. I went back in the blog only to discover that they were, in fact, that good the first time around

I do double-post a lot of stuff here because I like to contribute (and even if I didn't enjoy it, it would be only fair, given how much I've taken), but LTH is a little busy for me to use as a personal journal. Just personal preference. I come here to read others' thoughts... not to review mine.

I used to keep a database of places I visited in various cities other than Chicago on my PDA. A place had to be very good or very bad to get in the database. I didn't bother with middle of the road places, they seem to be easy to find anywhere. Once I discovered Chowhound and later when LTH Forum started, I quit keeping up my database and, as a result of equipment upgrades, etc. I don't even have a copy of it anymore.

I have my food blog (link below) which includes recipes I've made at home, food related events and restaurants I've visited. I also write up occassionally on Chicagofoodies.com.
