MAKE magazine, a fascinating hybrid of low-tech and high-tech DIY (knitting to software hacks, and everything in between including hacking your circadian rhythm, making wind generators...) has a term they've created called "instructables", which incidentally has its own website,

They've set that up to make it simple for people to attach pictures to instructions, and the "recipics" here is merely a variant on that.
