Hi,
Thanks figmolly, figjustin and everyone who gathered to share pie, soup and science projects.
While BR didn't take my suggestion to bring some pie home. I did take some of his passion fruit pie home to share with my family. It will be something I'll make sometime soon, though I fear it may not be as pretty as his.
I also took home some of the savory pastries for the home team's dinner. I hadn't precisely explained my adventure for the day, so pretty much everything was a very, very pleasant surprise.
I hope Sparky doesn't mind: his edible "paper" project made a great cracker to eat with Steve Z's soup.
These homemade LTH events, as well as the dessert and dinner exchanges, I really value very much. There are so many things to learn from each other and inspire to make better food.
This week in March is really pretty special: 3.14: pi day, 3.15 Ides of March (Et tu Brute Day), 3.17 St. Patrick's Day and 3.19 St. Joseph's Day. It rivals the holidays for a compact series of food events (granted Ides of March isn't food oriented, unless you insist on a Roman feast).
Regards,
