In spite of the crappy weather, this turned out to be a great event. We started out on the new back patio and when the rain came, the staff did a remarkably efficient job of moving everyone -- and their crawdads -- inside.
I didn't bring my camera but here are a couple of shots I grabbed with my phone . . .
CrawfishThese were served generously, and constantly replenished, via large scoops. Not pictured in this shot are the corn, potatoes and excellent housemade sausage that were part of the delicious boil. Even the heads of soft garlic that had taken on the flavor of the boil were hard to stop eating.
BeignetsI wasn't expecting this very nice surprise. A great way to wrap up the afternoon.
