Wish I could make it, but I have a different food event that night to attend.
Just a suggestion, though, to possibly let them know in advance that you're coming. It's a wonderful place, but in my experience, service can be a little spotty. I think they'd do a better job for you if prepared for a large party.
For what it's worth, I recommend the whole tilapia. I know tilapia tends to be the pariah of the sea for some folks on this list. But Gloria's does a great job, and unlike the rotisserie chicken (which, by necessity, may turn on the spindle too long before serving), the tilapia is cooked to order. (This reminds me I need to make it back to Gloria's soon!)
Could you report back whether they're still carrying baked goods from Bleeding Heart? I always looked lovingly at the items in the case, but also found the semi-pricey, often vegan baked goods to be sort of incongruous with the sensibility of the restaurant . . . like most customers would come in for *either* the Columbian chicken *or* a coffee and lemon tart, but not both. Just wondering if they've been successful marrying the two.
