Fair Oaks Farms and the Little Red Smokehouse

Come hear about Fair Oaks Farms and the other ventures of Swedish cheesemaker Sven Mill in a presentation on Thursday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m at the Museum. Located in northwest Indiana, Fair Oaks Farms is owned by nine local dairy farm families. Since he arrived at Fair Oaks, Sven has been putting his talents to use, most notably with his famous Royal Blue Cheese. Sven is from Grythyttan, Sweden, and for many years he delivered a buffet to His Royal Highness the King of Sweden in celebration of Swedish National Day. Sven is also one of the contributing authors to the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) cookbook, For the Love of Food.
Following the presentation, there will be a sampling of appetizers from some of the farms’ products, along with a wine tasting. Cost: $20 members, $25 non-members. Reservations are recommended. To reserve your spot, please pay online below, e-mail
