This years ski trip will take us to Deer Valley/ Park City. Several expensive on mountain restaurants appear in the official lodges. Are they any good? Seafood buffet could be interesting or awfull. We will do almost any type of eating although will not go to town for lunch. Looking forward to some unique spots if anyone is aware of such an animal.

Just to clarify: Are you asking about on moutain places to eat lunch while you're skiing? If so, there really isn't much choice. At Deer Valley, there is no "town," so you have to eat lunch on the mountain. They have 3 or 4 places, most of which are pretty good for on mountian food, but there are no "unique" spots. Park City skiing is closer to a town but, unless you leave the mountain, once again, you are stuck with the 3 or 4 on mountain places.

If, on the other hand, you're talking about dinner, there is really nothing right by Deer Valley, but there are a ton of places in Park City. Let us know if you want some recommendations there, but price range, food type, etc. will help.

We skied Park City back in late March and the husband has skied Deer Valley on several occasions. We stayed right at the base of Main St. in Park City and found lots of great choices for dining. Even the food on the mountain was suprisingly good. The big place in Deer Valley seems to be Stein Erickson's. As for Park City, here's a link to a post with my comments as well as some others that I hope are helpful to you.

Sorry about the unclear nature of my request. I anticipate dinner in Park City almost every night, unless the on mountain Dining is outstanding. Lunch will surely be on the hill. Thanks.
