For over four years I have lived within a block of Bite on Western and Cortez. I often overlook it because I hate their breakfast and too often associate it with this fact. That said I have never had a bad dinner there. It's never anything remarkable but is always a good generous portion of freshly prepared food at a great price. Tonight I had the special of a very good meatloaf with cheddar mashed potatoes and cole slaw. I'm pleasantly stuffed and enjoyed it thoroughly. I have never ordered dinner off the menu as they always have several specials on the chalkboard that seem appealing. Also tonight was a chicken adobo with sauteed spinach and sweet potato fries and a poached salmon entree whose details I cannot remember.
I am sure that many are already familiar with Bite but it is interesting to me to have a place so close to my house that I rarely go to, despite the fact that I enjoy it almost every visit. Anybody else have places they feel this way about?

I've managed to avoid Bite since a bad experience with one of their soups, however, for a time, I went quite often and it's probably due time I give the place another visit. The specials are usually very good and Empty Bottle next door is a great place for cheap Makers Mark after your meal...
