I must confess to taking a fairly absurd amount of pleasure in anthropomorphic representations of food.

So imagine my delight to stumble upon The Anthropomorphic Food and Kitchen Gallery

It's simply a long blog post with lots of inlined photos and illustrations, but there are some gems (and some clunkers, but even the author seems to recognize the failure of "Frigo Cheese Heads" to play in the same league as most of the other characters.) I can barely pick favorites, but I am pretty fond of the "Pigs in Blankets" and "Carrot Curls" from the Betty Crocker Cookbook for Boys and Girls.

This post is dedicated to Geli  (what is the story with that sig quote anyway?)

The picture of the ginger roots on the Gin Gin back are just one of the many ginger characters from The Ginger People ( http://www.gingerpeople.com ). I still smile when I visit their site and see the root dancing with the guy in top hat and tails -- yeah, that's right, Fred and ginger.
