I just ate a Honeybell, and I think I'm in heaven. It was SO GOOD. I looked online and see that they are available only in January, and I found many mail-order sources, but I wondered if anyone had seen them for sale locally?

    Description:
Incredibly juicy, seedless, easy-peeling Honeybells. They're a cross between an orange, tangerine, and grapefruit. Difficult to grow, and available only for a month each year -- a rare treat. True Honeybell lovers wait all year for January so they can indulge themselves and their family and friends.

I think they are just a really well marketed tangelo. Try a Honey Tangelo from one of the local markets.

haven't seen any local but if you order online, i would recommend bloods hammock groves. i used to live near them in s fla and was fanatical about them. in season, i used them exclusively for my orange and grapefruit bar needs. @ the end of ea season i would actually buy 20 gals and store them in my walk in freezer w/a skull and cross bones/do not touch, chef's special booga warning on them. my staff knew better than to mess w/my juice. you have to pour some off the top though, as it expands. they've been around 50 yrs and always had the best of any of the local groves.
