My friend wants to take a group of maybe 10 out on Saturday night for a dinner. She wants to try something "new". So I naturally thought, what an excellent chance to ping the lth people.

Usually we head to Tengo Sur for something like this. But that would not be something new.

We are looking for something on the near/north side and not too expensive. No Sushi.

    Thoughts?

Also, I have been doing a search through past posts and have taken some ideas, but without spending two hours reading through every past post, I wanted to come up with a couple ideas.

Not sure what near-north is to you, but how about Scylla, Bin Wine Cafe, West Town Tavern...
    I love animals...they're delicious!

Korean BBQ? That's always a blast with a group of people.

    "Pinging" - good term. :D
We cannot be friends if you do not know the difference between Mayo and Miracle Whip.

I had a dinner with about 10 people not that long ago at Arco de Cuchilleros, a lovely tapas place on Halsted in boystown. Sangria was great, food was great and it allowed people to order to accommodate their level of hunger, willingness to spend $, as well as their dietary desires. Make a reservation and leave extra time to find a parking space and I think you'll enjoy it. It's more traditional spanish tapas as opposed to just "small plates", and I think its better than BaBaReeba.
