As someone else mentioned, Calo delivers to Lincoln Square. They have the best thin crust pizza I've had in Chicago. They also have great stuffed pizza--it reminds me of Lou Malnati's in fact. For thin crust that's similar to pizza in Italy, Pizza DOC on Lawrence delivers to LS.

The other approach is the approach Elaine took on Seinfeld -- wait outside of a building in the delivery zone and pretend to live there!

The problem was her temporary pied à terre was the janitor's closet.

That was a funny episode, that delivery guy was as alert to any possibility of delivering beyond their territory as we are to shills. No nonsense tolerated!

After starting this list a long time ago, I thought it would be a good idea to update it given the addition of Apart Pizza on Montrose to the Lincoln Square area. I don't know if their free delivery will continue, but it certainly makes the pizza a good deal.

I found it somewhat amusing when the Apart delivery guy showed up in the back seat of a taxi -- I hope the driver is a friend or co-owner because that has to be costing them a pretty penny. Based upon the pizzas stacked in the back seat, he had a lot of deliveries to make.

In any event, the pizza was decent in my book -- I had it with pepperoni and onion. It was definitely a little too salty, but nonetheless pretty good. To me, it's a little too thin (particularly at the edges) and a little too crispy to be considered NY-style, but I'll take it any day of the week over most of the other local options.

We live in Lincoln Square, and love Tedino's (5335 N. Sheridan, 773-275-8100), and always order pizzas from them - but just this past weekend I was convinced by friends to order from Leona's. I don't generally like the Leona's chain - I find the food too overseasoned, in general. But the thin-crust pizza was great! It was a genuine thin crust (unlike Tedino's, which calls it a thin crust, but it's just a "normal" crust), and the sauce and toppings were great. One of the pizzas was artichoke hearts and mushrooms - so good I may give up my pepperoni fixation! The Leona's list of ingredients is better than most, as well. The Leona's in Roger's Park delivers to Lincoln Square (6935 N. Sheridan, 773-764-5757).

On occasion, we will order the "Greek" stuffed pizza from Tedino's. Normally I am not a fan of stuffed pizza or "novelty" pizzas, but this one is pretty darn good (in an over the top way). It is stuffed with feta cheese, olives and spinach (we usually add hot peppers or garlic). The feta gives it a nice tangy flavor and a creamy texture.

For Thin Crust in that area I'd try

Calo's, they have a good $2&3 off coupon on their menu.

Delisi's, Their thin crust is pretty good though I haven't had it in a while and may have changed.

for Deep Dish.,you're screwed I ususally drive to Lou's or Art of Pizza.

Maybe Gino's East on Lincoln and Diversey delivers that far?

I have to give big praise to Apart Pizza on Montrose & Lincoln. It certainly ranks in the top three pizza places in the Lincoln Square area, but gets nowhere near the love that number one receives on LTH.

bumping this thread--I'm in charge of picking the place to order pizza for a group dinner--the meeting is on Francisco, just south of Lawrence. Prefer good thin crust (NOT CARDBOARD--I'm talking about you Giordano's, Ranalli's etc.). I am a Malnati's /Barnaby's gal and rarely order pizza delivery so not sure why I was asked to do this (ok, I know why I was asked to do this) but I need help!!! I have 2 hours and 15 minutes--go!!! And thank you.

I used to live near there and Marie's was my favorite option.

I love Marie's and it's close, but Apart is also still there and they have gluten free options.

Jimmy's might also deliver there.

Heard Marie's was terrible for delivery--since I wasn't wild about it when I had it there, I was afraid to order it to be delivered. Unfortunately, Apart is SLOW--the internet is full of stories about 2 hour waits, etc. I experienced it myself and stopped ordering from them because of it. When I started researching this, I was surprised (or maybe not) to see the current word on them to be the same.

Gluten free is not my responsibility--someone else is ordering that separately. Whew!

Sadly, I'm not in Marie's delivery area so I can't comment on their timing for delivery, but you and I disagree strongly on Marie's. We like different styles of pizza, I'm not the Barnaby's fan you are.

Maries delivers lightning quick to my house.

Turned out they ordered from Apart before I arrived. Hadn't had it in years due to delivery issues and hard to tell how good this was because they ordered 3 small pizzas for 16 people and by the time we ate it, it was ice cold. Oh well thanks everyone for the info!

Sorry to chime in too late. For thin crust, I probably would have suggested Pizza Art Cafe, on Rockwell . . . I've usually been very pleased with them, although I haven't had it in a while. I have no ideal if Jimmy's delivers.

For deep dish (well, thin too), the good news is that Lou Malnati's will soon be opening (well, perhaps before the end of the year) on Lincoln just south of Montrose. Though I realize that is of little use right now.

I'm a big fan of Pizza Art Cafe. Even nominated then for an ill-fated GNR years ago. I didn't think they deliver, though.

Malnati's has always been my favorite of the big Chicago pizza chains, so I'm very much looking forward to being in the Lincoln Square location's delivery zeone. But the last few times I've had them (from the Evanston location), the pizza has been fairly bland and not cooked long enough.

I'd vote for Maries. They changed the way that they package the delivery pizzas a while back and it seems to be a change for the better(I never order take out from them so I can't comment if the packaging is different.) I haven't had a problem getting a pizza delivered within their estimated delivery times, save for one Bears game. The pizza has arrived hot every time that I've ordered. In the past, I've also enjoyed the fact that they deliver wine/beer/liquor. *Also, didn't think that Pizza Art Cafe delivers but they do make a good thin crust.

This thread motivated me to order pick up at Apart Pizza, which I did yesterday. I rode my bike to the Montrose location only to be told that I couldn't go into their store by an employee blazing a cigarette outside.

"Why not?" I asked.
"I can't say," she responded.
"But I put an order in for pick up."
"Well, that's been transferred to the Broadway location," she says.
"WTF!" I say.

So, I call the Broadway location and someone there tells me that the phone calls from Montrose are now transferring to his store. He was very apologetic, and had my order delivered with a small discount and no delivery fee.

Not sure what was going on at Montrose but I saw a man with a clipboard. Probably not good.

Cast my vote for Armand's at 4159 N. WESTERN (Western and Berteau). The owners are from Melrose Park and our friends with the original owners from the old Elmwood Park location that was an institution. And their thin crust pizza is still the same recipe. Their sausage is homemade and is some of the best sausage anywhere. Good stuff. And their stuffed artichoke is still excellent.
