Read positive reviews about the breakfast/brunch offerings at Victrory's Banner so we decided to go. I was very pleased that we did because the food and ambience provided the perfect start to a beautiful Saturday morning.

We arrived and sat outdoors at the small sized patio. Our waiter arrived dressed in a very unique garment (can't say what exactlye and nor do i want to provide misinformation). She was extremely polite and was curious about how we heard about VB. Conversation ensued for a brief moment (one part chit-chat and the other being the food of course). We finally made our decision and ordered. She had the broccoli and cheddar omelette and I opted for the Satisfaction-Promise scramble. With both of us feeling over-indulgent, we also shared an order of their award-winning french toast.

How was it? The scramble was the best i've had in a very long time. Good portions. The combination of spinach, feta, sun-dried tomatoes, and pesto certainly appeased the palatte. No need to add a thing. The eggs were also served with a hearty piece of toast, almost texas toast thick. This was filling in itself. Also included were some savory potatoes flavored with what I wasn't so sure but it was good. She enjoyed her omellete too, the Vermont cheddar was melted just perfectly and the broccoli cooked just right. (Can someone fill me in on what distinguished Vermont cheddar from the rest?) Finally we have the award-winning french toast and they were very satisfying. Thick, soft pieces of toast served with some delicious peach-butter and fresh maple syrup. These were good, plain and simple.

Total was approximately $20 before tip. Please mind you that they are vegetarian in nature and use soy products as meat substitutes. Will head back their soon. Cheers

I agree, this is a really splendid way to start a Saturday morning, or really, any morning. My wife dropped off the kids this morning with a sitter to enjoy a rare morning of rest. I called her about an hour ago, and she was enjoying some peace and and food at Victory's Banner.

I especially recommend their pesto and goat cheese omelette. They don't skimp a bit on the goat cheese. Actually, everything I've had here has been great. And despite being an avid eater of flesh, the vegetarianism of the restaurant bothers me not a wit.

    Cheers,

    Aaron
