Grey Poupon Commercial Star Dies

Ian Richardson, who died yesterday, has been one of my favorite character actors for years-- hie thee to Netflix and get Tinker, Tailor, Soldier Spy and House of Cards right now-- but I never realized till now that he was (perfectly cast as) the upper class fellow asking for Grey Poupon in the famous early 80s commercial.

For some reason there doesn't seem to be a copy of the original one on YouTube, but here's a later one which is quite amusing in sending the original up. Again, Richardson is the one who's asking for the mustard.
