    You know what's really sad? Look at the Chicago tour link. There are actually people who need a tour guide to lead them to Breadsmith and Ethel M's in Old Town, apparently.

    Out of curiousity, where does it say where they are stopping? I looked al over the link and can't see it.

    It doesn't say, but look at the photo gallery and it's pretty easy to figure out.

    Yeah, and the write-up says, "A local chocolate lounge (est. 2005)." Technically true (just as any particular McDonald's is local, I guess) but that makes it sound ike it's Jean-Pierre's Atelier du Chocolat or something.

    The chocolate thing doesn't bother me so much but the idea of Breadsmith being on a culinary tour -- it just sort of makes me shudder.

    it's not bad bread -- certainly better than what you'd buy at Dominick's but there are so many better bakeries in town.

    Am I too snobby? Possibly.
