Bonjour fellow food lovers! I was looking for pictures of an Uni Shooter (thinking about it today) that I ate 3 days ago at Sushi Kushi Too in Highlandpark, and I stumbled upon this site! I am going to be 20 years old and I am currently enrolled in MSOE as a sophomore. Unfortunate for me and my stomach Milwaukee Wisconsin is lacking in decent food, so I come back home and nag my folks to go out to eat! I love to eat everything! I am half Thai and half JEW. Jasian if you would call it! Lived all over the globe but Chicago/Northshore will always be my hometown! Ok down to the important part my favorite restaurants that are still open in Chicagoland. These are the ones I thought of off the top of my head:

    Japonais
    Parrie Grass (Northbrook) current fav.
    Gibsons
    Sushi Kushi
    Sushi Kushi Too
    Four Seasons Lunch Buffet (awesome)
    Siams House (Thai, Niles)
Boo Ill (Real Charcoal Korean BBQ)
    Pine Garden (Korean BBQ)
Taqueria Alamo (Wheeling, been going there since I was 7!)
Bob Chins (loved this place when I was a kid but bob is so old now!)
Morton’s SteakHouse (Northbrook, they cook a mean lobster)
Peninsula Hotel Afternoon Tea and Chocolate buffet.
Ira's Hot Dogs (love that place)
    Pita In
Sarkis ( you know when your in that certain mood)
Sanwaa chinese BBQ ( my roomates fathers chinese resturant! Argyle and broadway, best duck in the midwest, yah heard!)

Grr can’t think of any more, but don’t worry I also watch check please!
Later. Oh my Mom cooks some pretty mean Thai/Lao food as well. Ok Bye, im hungrrry.
    Heloo!

Welcome to LTHForum! I haven't spent a lot of time in Milwaukee, but it has gotten its share of love here. Maybe some of these will lead you to undiscovered gems while you're at school:

    Jake's Delicatessen -- Milwaukee
    Milwaukee Public Market flyby
    Sausage Quest in Milwaukee
    Northern Chocolate [Milwaukee]
    "Really" Old Milwaukee
    Milwaukee
Milwaukee pizza, custard and books: Calderone Club + more
Custard beyond Kopp's: Leon's, Milwaukee [pics]

Just a few I recalled or found looking for the others...

There's also a nice tradition of LTH'ers sharing family recipes...

Cooking with Ma (Pt.1) - haleem
Cooking with Ma (Pt.2) - salans
    My Family's Table: Rosh Hashanah

I'm sure there are more of these that I'm not hitting...

Anyway, welcome, and looking forward to hearing more in detail about what you like about the places you listed or new ones you discover, or any family secrets you might care to divulge...
