We had dinner at "Tony's" on Tuesday night - and he sadly informed us of the fact that due to an "incident" (I think that's all the Censors will allow me to say)- his restaurant is now BYOB.
Sometimes the water and Hot Tea, just aren't sufficient, in cooling the system from his most excellent & HOT, "true" Szechuan style Chinese food!

I'm sure you meant to say "Moderators" rather than "Censors".

To clarify the reasoning here for the general membership:

The moderators do not allow anything that can be construed as an accusation of illegal activity in a restaurant without a link to what we consider to be a quality published account (e.g. a link to a Department of Health report on the City of Chicago website).

    From Posting Guidelines:
Some types of posts have legal implications for you and the site. Please refrain from accusations of criminal activity, health code violations, or other wrongdoing. If your complaint is serious and provable, please take it to the proper authorities. Further, we find reports of restaurant and purveyor violations or closures, regardless of the circumstances, to be an area ripe for competitor abuse. We will remove these posts unless substantiated with a published source, e.g. a link to a quality published account.

This policy protects this site from becoming a breeding ground for competitor abuse, among other things.

    Best,
    Michael

I'm curious too but I guess I'll have to live with it... While this is bad news for Tony and Co., I look at it as great news that my favorite CT destination is now BYOB (appologies to LTH.. I love it too but not much beats Szechuan for my tastes). My only worry is that it may have an adverse long term effect on hours or quality.

I would recommend to anyone to call first before assuming that the BYOB policy at LSC is still in play.

    Best,
    Michael
