The Bizarre Foods episode tonight is very good.

Andrew Zimmern tours the Gulf Coast and the show is definitely an education about unusual southern cuisine. Well worth watching.

I LOVE this show--I tried to get my boyfriend to watch it with me the other day, but the sight of Mr. Zimmern eating the eyeballs of a suckling pig proved to be too much for his vegetarian stomach.

I missed it at 8--it replays again at 11!

Did anyone else catch the show he did in the Philippines? Did anyone else freak out at the white guy with the VERY heavy Filipino accent that Zimmern dined with at Kinabuch? It was like hearing my dad's heavily Filipino accented voice coming from... a white guy. :?

Season 2 starting this week with a stop in Beijing!
    Really looking forward to it!

Does anybody remember which country this was from? I taped three-and-a-half episodes yesterday - the second half of Taiwan, China-Beijing, Vietnam and Asia. This should be some good fare whilst I iron. One of them, I forget which, features him eating critters that are still alive. Disturbing yet intriguing.

Did you see the new China episode. He dined at a restaurant where all they served were different types of penis. Man did he eat a lot of penis. One thing I would not want to be known for is being an expert on how penis tastes.

    hmm...(penis tasting experts, anyone, anyone?)

was I correct in half-hearing whilst "watching" this episode that the resto in question has "wang" in the name?

The guys name was something like Wun Wong Wang. I remember my entire family burst out laughing when they said it. Though I cannot confirm it. I am sure there will be a rerun on this week

I was watching the show tonight for the first time. The host was raving on and on about the flavorful, tender, lean meat of donkey. Is this in the same boat as horse meat, or is it legal to eat donkey in the US? I'd like to try it but can find no information about where to possibly eat it in the US.
