My wife and I are looking for a place for lunch on Saturday (after a religious service -- a sort of Greek pre-baptism thing).

We were thinking of Four Seasons. We want a place for lunch on a Saturday where we will not look completely out of place in nice clothes (I will be hearing a business suit). Location should be in the Streeterville/River North area.

    Any thoughts?

Seasons and NoMi are both open for lunch on Saturdays, and both are places where business attire is common.

I prefer NoMi as it's just a wee bit less traditional in both cuisine and decor (and the view is better too), but both are excellent. (I realize you're the expert in the area and are familiar with both places, but just in case anyone else is interested.)

I like RL. It's not as tranquil or formal as Seasons, but I find their food to be consistently well-executed.

I think the best possible time to visit Frontera Grill is for their Saturday brunch.

Probably, but for some reason I don't see my first generation Greek relatives going for Frontera Grill.

That's a great suggestion though. I may do that when the extended family is not part of plan.

Since you mention first generation Greeks are in the mix, why not take them to Greek Town (Greek Islands, Santorini or Costa's). When my wife's Greek relatives are in town, that's the first place they want to visit.

I would (and we have in the past -- I took the family to Costa's to celebrate my wife's birthday last year) but for this event, I wanted something a bit nicer.

Based on what I've heard, I'm leaning towards Seasons (although NoMi is a definite possibility). We may end up in Greektown anyway, since we are putting the event off a week and Greeks have some strict dining requirements on the day before Easter.

Totally off topic - but I thought you couldn't baptize or get married in Greek Church during Lent?

It is not the Baptism itself.
It is blessing they do when the babies are about 40 days old.
The Baptism will be in about six months.
That is another topic altogether. I will be looking for a place with outstanding food that will seat about 60 people comfortably and will not destroy the budget. The last thing I want to do for that is to end up in some Greek banquet hall with miserable food.
