I'm more concerned about the foie that was confiscated "for evidence". I'll buy a T-shirt that says : Free the Chicago Foie!

More like "FREE publicity for DOUG". That fine will be the best 250 marketing dollars ever spent.

Hot Dougs received lots of free publicity this week on WLS. Don Wade and Roma were discussing the "news story" and Roma didn't understand how hot dogs and Fois Gras could possibly go together. Then they took a call from Eric who explained and raved about Hot Dougs. Great PR for pennies!

I'm sure the $250 fine will cost him a lot less than the legal fees he'd incur to fight it.

Oh, no question. I just figured if the NRA was going to mount a challenge, they'd need to have a case, correct?

All that press, tv and radio for only $250? The man is a marketing genius (of course, we already suspected that).

Which side of the foie gras debate do you think the National Rifle Association would be on?

Funny how that is the meaning of NRA that always comes to mind first.

They like to kill and eat animals, and beleive in protection of human civil liberties, but they also probably hate the French...

More free press for the "house of encased meats". Hot Dougs has been the hot topic again this a.m. on WLS. Amidst talk of banning lobster boiling and more breathing space for chickens, Doug has been the lead story for the 7-8:00 hour! Nice work!

No pity at all - the amount of publicity he has gotten out of this is amazing - best $100 he ever spent. I bet business is up at least 20% in the next week.

All profit from these shirt sales (about $2 a shirt) will be donated to a cause of Doug's choosing.

I am guessing it won't be PETA.
