The LTHForum Recipe Index has now been updated through the end of August. We are now up to 367 recipes.

If you have posted a recipe,* could you please check and see if it's been indexed?

I'm not having as much time to devote to this as I once did and I could easily miss things, especially if they appear in threads outside Shopping and Cooking.

If you think I've missed something or spot any errors, please send me a pm with the link.

*Note that I'm indexing only recipes with at least rough measurements, ingredients lists and directions, not all of the various interesting but sketchy discussions of cooking techniques. Also, in the interests of useful sorting and searchability, it's been necessary to adopt some naming conventions that don't necessarily duplicate what recipes are named in the original posts (if they're named at all, which they aren't always).

The LTHForum Recipe Index has now been updated through the end of March 2007.

If you have posted a recipe,* could you please check and see if it's been indexed?

If you think I've missed a recipe or spot any errors, please send me a pm with the link. I would also appreciate it if Index users would pm to let me know about how you use this index, and what features you like and dislike. Now that that the database has gotten so large (480 recipes!), I am considering some changes.

*As always, please note that I'm indexing only recipes with at least rough measurements, ingredients lists and directions, rather than all of the various interesting but sketchier discussions and photo essays about dishes and cooking techniques. Also, in the interests of useful sorting and searchability, it's been necessary to adopt some naming conventions that don't necessarily duplicate what recipes are named in the original posts.

Laz, I had't noticed this feature before - it's incredible! What a great go-to place for dinner inspiration when I'm in a rut!

It's also extremely gratifying to see my own recipes there...looks as though you got every one.

Someday, though I know the logistics would be daunting, it would be fun to see this compiled into a series of cookbooks (we probably have all the pics we need, as well)

    LAZ,

In particular I like having the ability to search by recipe, contributor and category.

Many thanks to both you and Dick.

    Enjoy,

LTHers have now posted more than 500 recipes!

The LTHForum Recipe Index is back in service (thanks, RheS!) and has been updated through mid-June 2007.

Please check the index, and if you think I've missed a recipe or spot any errors, send me a pm with the link. I'm watching the board, but I can easily miss things, so I also encourage posters to send me a heads-up when they post recipes.

The Index to LTHForum Recipes has been updated through Feb. 29, with links to 848 recipes. It also has links to variations and photos of many recipes, when they appear separately.

Please take a look and let me know if you spot any errors or omissions.

We have added a Google search box, so you can search LTHForum directly from the index page. (I am finding this much handier than having to do the site:lthforum.com thing.)

As always, I encourage posters to send me a heads-up when they post recipes, particularly if these appear in a non-standard format or outside the Shopping and Cooking board. I do follow the board, but with so much going on here it's easy to miss things.

Again -- I am astonished by and grateful for the prodigious effort you put into this. And how wonderful to not have to "lose" recipes because you just can't find them anymore.

    Thanks, LAZ. You're amazing.

And, thanks to all the LTHers who've taken the trouble to post recipes. It's really an extraordinary collection.

The index has been updated through June 5, with 1,025 recipes, in case you are still looking for something to bring to the LTH Potluck.

In the course of doing this update, I discovered that at least one recipe had disappeared due to site migration problems. If you find further missing recipes or truncated posts, let a moderator know.

If you spot any other index errors, including misspellings, omitted recipes or wrongly categorized dishes, please send me a pm.

For your Labor Day and LTH Picnic planning, the recipe index has been updated through Aug. 16, with more than 1,200 recipes.

It now includes all the recipes from the LTH Potluck, with links to cooking notes and photos. Before the potluck I got a number of queries from people confused about just what is and isn't indexed or having trouble finding things in it, so I have also posted a guide to using the recipe index.

Please do look through the index and send me a pm if you spot any errors or omissions.
