My biggest guilty pleasure has to be Arby's Beef(oid) and Cheddar. Add Horsey Sauce and extra Arby's Sauce and you have the messiest chain fast food on the planet outside of an In-and-Out Jungle Style 4x4.

I used to like the Taco Hell Baja Chalupa, but it's disappeared. A BK double cheeseburger (just ketchup and onions) is good for flame-broil-burps the rest of the day, and reminds me of my good ol' college days when it was the only fast food in downtown Evanston.

I was friends with some of the employees of a Subway near my afterschool job during high school and I've never outgrown the *ahem* meatball sandwich. Wheat bread, mystery meatballs, all the veggies and loads of that great giardineira. I have one every couple weeks.

After seeing high-school acquaintances wad wet napkins into "meatballs" and submerge them into the "marinara" at a sub shop, I skip the meatball sub.

Semi-locally, I'm gonna go with Schoop's, the Mickey in particular. Thanks, ReneG. Does a Portillo's burger count?

It's funny how Subway's giardinara has popped up twice so far in this thread. I like it as well: mildly-spicy, salty, tasting of fresh oil, crisp, good variety of veg w/o going overboard...everything of a uniform cut. Nice stuff.

See, I knew I could tease out a few closeted Subway fans who were hiding in the wings.

I might go with a Portillo's burger if that is allowed, an Arby's big roast beef with horsey and "BBQ" sauce when in the mood, Popeye's fried chicken for some spice, and White Castle's when I know I will forget I ate them in the morning.

The funny thing is that it appears to be a local phenom -- Outside of the Chicago area, as close by as central IL, you can get nacho rings, maybe banana peppers, but I've never seen giardinera.
