I love their cheeseburger, and respect the fact that they serve it at lunch as well as dinner. When I've been there the service and staff was great. But, even with all this praise I don't plan on paying $40+ for a mediocre steak when I'm in Chicago.

So has anyone ever tried it?

Yeah, most recently, two months ago.

Flavourless, wet-aged garbage, if you ask me.

There's no reason to wonder why they offer grotesqueries like a cheese-topped steak.

The side dishes were entirely lackluster, looking and tasting as if they'd been prepared hours before.

And, I was disgusted to learn that all of the sauces were made off-site at a central Rosebud commissary.

That's a shame. There are so many good things about that restaurant, but if your a steakhouse that serves low quality steak at the price of top places no amount of good service will make it worth it.
