    Hey Gang,

Looking for chow fun, somewhere that serves it crispy. I live at Addison and Kimball. I have spots in Chinatown, any thoughts up north?

If you're talking strictly prep of the noodles, I know that Cozy Noodles in Evanston serves chow fun crispy. The dish itself isn't exceptional, but it makes a fine weekday lunch. I guess there's a Cozy's in Wrigleyville, but I've never eaten there.

Try P.S. Bangkock at 2300 Halstead. They make a crispy Pad Siew which is delicious. Really.

I used to live at Kimball and Diversey, the area is void of any decent chinese IMO. Heard that Friendship on Milwaukee was the best in the area. Tried it twice. Found it to be absolutely horrible. Their much heralded "Lemon Tofu" was a gloppy cornstarchy overly sugary mess. Think unset lemon meringue pie ladled over sauteed tofu. I have no recs for your immediate area. I used to routinely drive out of the hood for any decent chinese offereings. Others do or did, however, enjoy Friendship Chinese.
    maybe you will too:

We cannot be friends if you do not know the difference between Mayo and Miracle Whip.
