I couldn't find any mention of this with the LTH Search function, so I'll post what I think some might find interesting. There's a one-page article on what to do in Chicago in the latest Time Magazine [page A38 of the Inside Business section of the October 11, 2004, issue with a "Visions of Tomorrow" special report on the cover]. You can find this "premium" article, titled "Windy City Redux" online here (if you're willing to pay for anything past the first few lines). In all its 543 words, the article's not too long (especially with a pic of "the Bean" from Millennium Park taking up a corner of the page), but there were a few brief mentions of Chicago food destinations, including the Berghoff, Mr. Beef's [sic?], and even Marshall Field (for a box of Frango mints). I'm not sure I can pass judgment on such an encapsulation of how Chicago has been "reinvented" in terms of its "great art, food and hip new bars," but I was surprised that the article never made it into the magazine's printed table of contents. An unintended snub, I'm sure.
