    They have three ply construction (one layer of aluminum sandwiched between two layers of stainless steel) all the way up the sides, just like All-Clad, and the higher-end Cuisinart and Kitchen Aid pots and pans. The lids have three small holes for steam to escape. The handles stay cool while cooking. They are oven and dishwasher safe, and cost about 1/4 of what All Clad costs. I recently purchased a set, and have been very pleased with their performance. I've made oven rice pilaf and pasta sauce with meatballs in my 4 quart pot, and steamed some broccoli in the 1 quart saucepan. The holes in the lids really help with vegetable steaming. Food cooks very evenly, and doesn't stick or scorch easily.

    They probably aren't as well made as some of the more expensive versions, and one thing i'm worried about is if they will warp easily over time. However, they do perform very well, and are the only cheap pans with three-ply construction all the way up the sides that I've seen anywhere.
