RIP Chicago Chocolate Cafe?

The revival of the thread on Ethel's reminded me of another chocolate spot. Chicago Chocolate Cafe, on Randolph just east of Peoria, seems to be closed. I tried to go there a few weeks ago with Lucantonius on a Saturday afternoon -- it was closed. Driving by two nights ago it was closed. Calling just now got no answer.

Not that it was the greatest place or anything, but it was a regular stop for L and me to get a scoop of ice cream in the West Loop (before watching Antonius play hockey ), and one of the few places around there open on Sundays. Too bad.

Oh no!!! That's very sad. I really liked that place. I used to go out of my way to get late night brownie sundaes there. Nothing like a brownie sundae with cookie dough ice cream to cheer you up late at night.
