    back in my foodservice days this show was the bomb, TONS of selling and interested buyers attempting to do new things. my last few years it was not good in terms of having interested buyers, more like an excuse for them to travel and for vendors to entertain them.

    what is so good about it now? samples or ?

    Well..for me I like to see what is new and what the trends are, new flavor profiles , etc and see how i can fit em into my business. Plus, if im there im not working..so u do have somewhat of a point.

    i'll be there mon and tues. for me, it's not about 99.5% of the things i don't need or want. it's about the .5% of things i'm not aware of or find interesting. it takes me 2 days to walk both halls but it's never not been worth it and i suggest it to all serious food service personel for the above reason.
