Somehow I find these pictures fascinating, yet highly disturbing. I spent a suprising amount of time comparing the bite marks to see if they were all made by the same mouth. Jury's still out on that one.

You are the second person to find these photos disturbing so there must be something to it. Since others on this board have far more photographic talent than I do, I decided to try to portray food in a different light, to come up with something that might alter people's perceptions, if only in a very small way. That some find these photos disturbing is totally unexpected. Perhaps it is good thing. I wonder if you will look at your last bites any differently?

BTW, all of the teeth marks are mine. However, in some cases I am not the one that consumes the final bite.

Great creativity there Bill. I love the concept and photos. I'm guessing all of the plates at your house just need licked clean.

Maybe I overstated things by saying they were disturbing, but even so, that's not neccessarily a bad thing. They certainly got my attention.

As Duane Michals, my favorite photographer, said: "I think photographs should be provocative and not tell you what you already know. It takes no great powers or magic to reproduce somebody's face in a photograph. The magic is in seeing people in new ways."

Maybe you should put on a show and call it "Tasting Menu."

There was a trial recently in Chicago where the murderer was confirmed against DNA left on partially eaten fried chicken. It gives new meaning to last bite .

Your posts when accompanied by pictures always make me yearn for a bite (first or last) of your delicious creations.

I'm not sure thanks are appropriate since I am now totally distracted from the work piling up on my desk!! I am instead craving a piece of that charred pizza crust.
