WOOPS! Top got cut off! You chicago peeps can read backwards, right?

Ok, so just got back from dinner at Gottos. We looked up the menu for tinfish and it was basically all fish - which didn't cope well with our vegetarian...so Grottos it was.

    Place: nice atmosphere but smokey

Service: Ok. Waitress seemed nervous and forgot what I ordered...came back 15 minutes later to ask me...

App: Onion/Tomato/Blue Cheese Salad: was alright. way too much balsamic ...it was drenched.

Sorry again about my choppy email - my computer connection was awful, mixed with 2 glasses of wine with dinner...makes for a sloppy email.

Tonight we will be in the Buffalo Grove area to visit friends who live there.
What do you guys think of Las Palmas or Indian House?

Are there any good finds in this area?

    Thanks kindly,

    The Booshie

The downtown India House is quite good as Indian buffets go.

There, I've exhausted my knowledge on the subject.

There is an Uzbek restaurant in BG that is supposed to be very good. I have been meaning to check it out myself.

We ended up going to Wildfish as we were craving the sush. The best thing about this restaurant was the service. Our waiter was always there to refill a saki or sapporo, and was helpful and gracious - although my BF walked past the computer thingy they put the orders in and in big, bold letter the words SELL, SELL, SELL were listed on top. Whoa. The food was mediocre at best as far as the fish was concerned. It had to have been at least 3 days old. The highlights were my seaweed salad and the miso soup. Included gratuity in check for 6 people, was about $45 a head. Would not go back.
Hopefully we will do better today,I hope, I hope.
