Hubby and I are planning a Seattle trip in August. We're interested in eating at Herbfarm (all in-season, Pacific Northwest local) and I'm wondering if anyone's dined there. I found only one reference on this board...and all it mentioned was price.

    Many thanks

That was probably my post about Herbfarm. The food is outstanding. The decor is garish. The level of pretense exceeds any restaurant in which I've dined. I've been there twice, the first time on my own dime, the second time as a guest. For me personally, despite the quality of the food, I would never again pay for a meal there, and I'm not sure I would return even if someone else paid for the meal.

Again, for me personally, I would instead go to Barking Frog next door, have a great meal, and use the (significant amount of) money I saved towards a room at the Willows Lodge on the other side of the parking lot.

FYI, there are several wineries in Woodinville. You can have a great day just tasting wines, taking a late-afternoon nap, then walking to/from dinner...

Addendum: Herbfarm's chef of 17 years has departed (to start a new place in Seattle), and Barking Frog is quite good (at about 1/6 the price per dinner). Willows Lodge is excellent. If you want a truly superb meal in Seattle's western suburbs, go to Cafe Juanita in Kirkland (see their website). The food (a northern Italian emphasis), service and ambience are unbeatable.
