I haven't seen anything on LTH about The Bent Fork in Highwood and I just want to make sure people are aware of it.

The Bent Fork is a bakery in Highwood owned by a husband and wife. Mike, the Husband is usually runing the front of the shop.

There is a wide variety of baked goods, all of them good with a number of them being great.

The cupcakes and cakes are all top notch. We have now had several cakes from The Bent Fork and they really go above and beyond with decorations. When we picked up the last cake for my daughter's birthday, Mike told us that he really enjoyed decorating the cake and it showed.

The cookies and brownies are also very good. I am partial to the frosted ginger molasses cookies. These tend to disappear early in the day so plan ahead. Mike will frost some fresh for you if there are no frosted ones out.

My daughter is having 10 of her friends over for a Mexican themed party tomorrow. We ordered the cake from The Bent Fork and explained the theme of the party and that we were open to decorating suggestions. They said the knew exactly what they wanted to do and that we would love it. I can't wait to see the cake.

Everytime we leave the house my 5 year old daughters says "can we stop at the Bent Fork?"

    Hi,

My teenage nieces visit Bent Fork so frequently they are on a first name basis. They don't know me, they know my family.

    Regards,
