Hot Doug's reopening Dec. 1?

According to Chowhound, Hot Doug's is reopening Dec. 1. Confirmation? Rumors? Any info at all?

I go by fairly frequently and haven't seen any sign of work since paper went up in the window weeks ago.[/i]

There was a claim on Chowhound this summer that it was reopening on Labor Day weekend. I give this claim the same respect I gave that one. I wish Doug all the best and hope he gets back in the game soon. I would imagine he'd update his website once he has a better idea of a real re-opening and maybe send emails to the folks that registered to be notified of that event.

I give the Labor Day claim a little more respect. It was reported in the Chicago Tribune in an interview with Doug. They directly quoted him as saying that he was opening on labor day. What has happened since then is a mystery.

I live near Doug and I would run into him from time to time since the fire. I haven't seen him in a while.
