Are there any good Indian restaurants on the South side of Chicago or South suburbs?

    Thanks!

I'm a Rajun Cajun apologist - 1459 E. 53rd in Hyde Park. It's just a steamtray deli-type joint, but they have heartbreakingly good dhal, chickpeas, samosas, and mango lassis. My advice is to stay away from the Soul Food half of the menu, and from the non-vegetarian items (Tandoori Chicken, Butter Chicken, Chicken Curry), which are much weaker than the spicy vegetables. Very inexpensive and friendly.
