We went to Yoshi's Cafe today. My recently employed daughter took my wife and I to Yoshi's for Father's Day. This is our first experience at Yoshi's and it was superlative. We started with two mimosas and a bloody mary. The mimosa choice was regular, blood orange, or lychee. I tried the blood orange and it was a little more tangy than a regular OJ mimosa -- almost like a mimosa with a blend of regular OJ and Compari. I'd like to try the lychee. The bloody mary had a wasabi olive condiment, which was a positive twist on the BM.
As entrees, two of us had baked eggs in a brioche hole layered on a bed of Canadian bacon accompanied by skillet potatoes with a strawberry garnish. The bioche and eggs were baked to perfection. The third order was the French brioche toast smothered in a variety of seasonal berries and drizzled with English custard sauce. My wife raved about this simple sounding dish.
Finally, the service was impeccable and the staff was very pleasant.
I want to thank Gary for this recommendation. It's definitely on my list to visit again. The other rec, Deleece, also sounded good and I hope to try it in the future.
