Shedd Aquarium is organizing dinners which feature both food and guest speakers as part of their Right Bite program to encourage sustainable seafood choices. As described on their website, "Join us for our sustainable seafood dinner program that will take us to several of Shedd Aquarium's Right Bite Restaurants throughout the year. We will indulge in sustainable seafood appetizers and entrees, dabble in desserts and hear about the latest and greatest at the aquarium from Shedd specialists. Each restaurant will feature a unique environmentally friendly menu created just for this event, and the evenings' guest speakers will vary. Come to one or come to all!

Please note: To attend this event you must be at least 21 and have proof of age such as a valid drivers license or state ID card.

I have signed up for the Shaw's Crab House one on Monday, July 9. It is the Shaw's downtown (21 E Hubbard) and starts at 6pm. When I talked to the woman on the phone, she helpfully told me that the seating is all together in groups so you will get to meet and mingle with other folks who enjoy good food but also want to learn more about how to be socially conscious about what we indulge in. Call to register for an event- you will have to put down your credit card upon registration, and I was charged before the event. I did not ask about the refund policy because I'm 99% sure I'll be there anyway.
