Lincoln Square Quality Meats

Has anyone ever been to the Lincoln Square Quality Meat butcher/deli at 4661 North Lincoln Avenue?

I just moved to the area and since then, I've been walking by it nearly every day. I went in once and I have to admit that I found it a bit intimidating and walked right out. However, I really want to give it a try.

Any tips or recommendations?

Yes, but not too frequently. They're house-made sausages are quite good, especially I've enjoyed the cumin sausage. There was an ownership change 2-3 yrs ago, I think. Can't guarantee there wasn't another.

I believe the owner's grandmother, or some such, makes wienerschnitzel on the Saturdays. Or did at one point.
