I would suggest that you talk face to face with a pet owner that had a pet die from 'tainted' product produced in China. My training as a auditor and experience as a Director of Nuclear Safety says that when you find one or two occurances of something wrong, you are looking at the 'tip of the iceburg'. Everything that we had that was sourced in China went out the door after the Pet Food Debacle. We are now purchaseing even more from our local co-op and other local suppliers. Letters have been written to US food producers and our Senators and Congressman that we expect food products to list country of origin. Food prducts that don't do that or are sourced in China or other problem countries are simply not purchased.
BTW, years ago we started purchasing fresh Gulf Shrimp because the product is so superior to the frozen mush out of Asia. I rountinely purchase 21/26 size fresh Gulf Shrimp in Milwaukee at $9.99/#.
One can also persuse the FDA website and read about the results of inspections performed on food and other products coming into this country. The results are simply appalling with the Chinese leading the way. The Chinese will soon out do the Soviet Union if they haven't already as having environmentally wasted thier country and people. -Dick
