please, help: delicious place to celebrate wedding with 30?

My future husband and I will be getting married in City Hall in Chicago in late September; after that we want to go and celebrate at dinner with 30 of our nearest and dearest. I was hoping your collective wisdom could help us find a restaurant that is delicious, fun, and can accomodate a group of that size with some privacy.
Some places we are considering are Laoszechuan (the Chinatown branch); Fonda del Mar; Cafe Lula; Rose Angelis; Blackbird and North Pond (though we probably can't afford these last two).
To give you a sense of what we like: on our last visit to Chicago, we loved TAC Thai, Smoque and Arturo's (but none of those, alas, seem good for a private party).
Any suggestions for other places, or comments on those I've names, would be deeply appreciated! Location is not an issue, as long as it's in the city. Thanks!

We were in basically the same situation:

We did a civil ceremony at the Cultural Center (a $5-10 upgrade over city hall, reserve it in advance, I highly, highly recommend it) and then had a dinner for 30 at Lao Sze Chuan.

It was great.

n.b. we didn't plan out anything with Tony or LSC in advance, we just made a reservation for 30 and showed up and ordered off the menu. It worked out great. Came to $500 for 30 people with a 30% tip.

BTW, I was at Lao Szechuan a month or two ago and they no longer served liquor. We never did learn why. They used to serve, but no longer. You might want to confirm their status before showing up to make sure you bring anything along as requried for the appropriate level of festivity.

We just did lunch for about 30 after our May 5th wedding in Millennium Park at Frontera Grill. Private room, great service, and minus the bar bill, pretty reasonable.

Hi, it's the blushing bride again. After some intensive research today, I wanted to add a few places to the list of restaurants we are considering, and find out if people have had positive experiences:

Riques Regional Mexican
Carnivale
Enoteca Roma
Brasserie Jo

All can accmodate a group our size, so the imprtant question is (as always...) the food.

I think the Fonda del Mar idea would work nicely. You may be able to take over the whole patio, the prices are lower than many spots mentioned, and I am quite certain they would work out some type of package deal.
