We moved back to the Northbrook 1 1/2 years ago and last summer we sampled all farmers markets that I knew of in our area. We settled on Northfield seeming to have the best selection.

When we lived in the city we shopped Division St every Saturday. One of the things I miss from that market is Nickols. Does anyone know if they are at a Farmers Market on the North Shore.
    Thanks

They were at the lake bluff mkt 2 years ago, but I have not seen them since. I liked them a lot too. The only other mkt I have been to this year is Deerfield, and they werent there.

Not sure if we are speaking about the same people but the Nichols website is located here: http://www.nicholsfarm.com/current_market_schedule_winter_m.htm

You can find an article co authored by some guy named David Hammond, (who ever the hell that is) posted here: http://www.timeout.com/chicago/Details.do?page=1&xyurl=xyl://TOCWebArticles2/115/features/stand_and_deliver.xml

Article is at bottom of page.

Just in case it might help you plead your case to your husband, the parking for the Evanston market is free and easy. The market is behind a multi-story parking garage on Maple (I think) just north of Church. You can park in the multi-story lot for free, so it's very convenient. I live in Glencoe and use the Northfield market a lot, but often make the trek to Evanston because there's just more there there.

A tip for the Evanston Farmers' Market - when you get into the parking garage, on the west side of Maple, the ramps take you quickly up to the third floor. Many people park there. But if you continue on, following the exit signs, you can get down to the second floor, which usually has more parking spaces, and a shorter and more conveniently-located staircase.

i see them every tuesday at the prudential plaza farmer's market in downtown chicago...

and today (i assume every sunday) they were at the wicker park farmer's market in wicker park...

They have been there every time I have been there (which is sadly not every Sunday)
